Baked French Toast

1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 tbsp. corn syrup

Heat together and pour into a 9×13 inch pan. Slice French bread 1/2 inch thick and lay slices on top of the brown sugar mixture. Beat together:

5 eggs
2 cups milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Pour egg mixture over the bread. Cover with plastic wrap and chill overnight. In morning, uncover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 – 40 minutes.
